Springtime
Super Show heats things up.
Many feuds are brewing
and bubbling over these days in SAW.
After the 3-way dance
where Cruiserweight Champion, Chris Envy retained
the title over Loveboy and Ian Daniels, Daniels
challenged Envy to a one-on-one contest for the
belt. Envy then accepted.
The feud between The
Northern Studd and The Bull continued this night.
The Bull put out a challenger to his former
partner to a NO DQ anything goes match. The Studd
refused and would only wrestle in a straight up
contest. Due to Studd's manager being the
Commissioner, that was what got signed. This
match also had both Commissioner Willard and The
Candyman handcuffed to each other at ringside.
The ending saw the referee go down and all four
men get into a brawl until the locker room and
the referees emptied into the ring to pull them
all apart. Now the match that The Bull initially
wanted has been signed for June 23rd's "No
Excuses," a NO DQ falls count anywhere
match.
Guilluame Desade address
the audience in a scathing manner making many
controversial, almost prejudicial remarks about
the company and the fans. That was until JP Black
came out to challenge Desade to put up or shut
up. In a grueling contest, JP Black gained
victory, but I don't think "The Modern day
Marquis" has finished dissecting the Dark
Pony yet.
SAW Television Champion,
Maxx Burton stepped into the ring with Big Vigo.
This match was non-title, but you wouldn't know
it as both men fought with the intensity of a
title match. By far, the stiffest match of the
night with neither man letting up. After Vigo hit
a sit out powerbomb on Burton and only got a 2,
Vigo shoved the referee down and caused himself
to be disqualified. After the match, Vigo was
going to take out Burton with a chair, but Yvonna
Leach stopped Vigo and instead issued a
challenged for a rematch, this time for the
title, at "No Excuses." A weary Burton
accepted the challenge.
In one of the most
competitive and athletic matches this year, SAW
Heavyweight Champion, Michael Monroe, retained
the title over Mikey Mudd with a crucifix roll
up. Mudd has been somewhat under the radar as a
challenger, but he showed the heart of a champion
in this match. Monroe, being no slouch,
demonstrated his abilities as well. A match of
the year candidate to say the least.
So thanks to these events
4 matches have already been signed for June 23rd
